Motor vehicle manufacturers must apply for homologation permission for all vehicles manufactured by the European type series. Once certified, a certificate of conformity is established or COC (Certificate of Conformity). This document stipulates that the vehicle meets the emission and safety requirements at the European Union (EU) level, so the vehicle can be put into circulation in each EU member state without additional technical inspection. The issuance of this certificate of conformity is possible for all vehicles built to the standards set by the COC from 1995.
Please check the constructor plate of your vehicle. It must have a number up to 20 digits and letters,
and always start with e * According to the marks, the plate is located in the engine compartment or
near the driver's door. If the plate has a European Conformity Number, an application for a COC
certificate is possible. Otherwise, consult us.
We can sometimes provide a national type identification certificate for the vehicle.
We perceive a fixed price for issuing a COC for all car brands. The price varies depending on the brands.
European law obliges the manufacturer to establish a first original free of charge. For the establishment of a second original, our company is entitled to recover its costs.
It is therefore strongly recommended when buying your vehicle to ensure that the COC document is handed over when taking control of the vehicle.
The European Certificate of Conformity COC is accepted in any language of the European Union.
More generally, the COC is issued in French, German or English.
We issue COC documents abroad without VAT in case your company has its registered office in one
of the European Union countries and it has a VAT identification number. In this case please proceed
