Isuzu Motors Ltd. Is a Japanese
manufacturer of commercial and industrial vehicles, as well as diesel engines,
based in Tokyo, Japan. Its activity is focused on the design, production,
assembly, sale and distribution of commercial vehicles. It also has
subsidiaries, subsidiaries and joint ventures with other manufacturers around

It was founded in 1916 under the
name of Tokyo Ishikawajima Enigineering Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of the Tokyo Gas
Company, but its name would come to the year 1949 when it merges with the
automaker Dot Automobile Manufacturing Inc, baptizing it as Isuzu, which means
fifty bells and refers to a river of the same name. In recent years, the diesel

The Fujisawa plant was built and

In 1981, General Motors became
the owner of the assembly plant that its rival Chrysler had in Colombia,
consolidating its position as majority shareholder of GM Colmotores, which
